Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that loved music. When she was a kid, she listened to a lot of traditional music as well as traditional Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana loves tangos as well drama and opera. Ana began learning to sing and play music in the early years together with her mom. The formal vocal training when she reached the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous chamber and opera choirs. After moving from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Alongside being an active performer as well as an instructor, her love of arts and music keeps her active in a variety of different projects. Ana has also been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can help younger generations continue the tradition.
